SAFECO PLAZA

Safeco Plaza is referred to by locals as “The Box the Space Needle Came In”. The 50-story, 630 ft (190 m) building was completed in 1969 for the Seattle First National Bank. At the time of completion the building boasted that it used 15000 KVA! Consumer attitudes on energy use have changed in the intervening years and Automated Controls has been integral in bringing the latest energy-efficient technologies to reduce energy consumption. Our team leads the way in designing innovative solutions that have lead to breakthrough energy savings for the owners.

Through design and partnership with local utilities, Automated Controls has reduced the buildings energy use by 30%
